Dr. Tammy Severt and her team are especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home! We put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment. Our staff is well trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient in the triangle area, including Pittsboro. Each member of our clinical team has completed formal dental assisting training in an accredited program, and our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education meetings.



Name: Patricia Snipes
Title: Office Manager

Pat has been working in orthodontics since 1975 and with Dr. Severt since 1999. Her focus is to “serve our patients and parents with compassion and quality care, maintain patient accounts and insurance, maintain office accounting, supervise and be available to staff members at all times, assist Dr. Severt in promoting a happy and caring workplace, and assist Dr. Severt with office projects and continuing education programs and fun activities for the staff.”

Pat says her favorite thing about the practice of orthodontics is that she “loves to see children and adults blossom after getting braces. Orthodontic treatment is not limited to correcting the outward appearance, which results in straight teeth. Orthodontic treatment also brightens the inward soul with confidence and beautiful smiles!” As you can see, Pat is passionate about what she does. Her favorite thing about working with Dr. Severt is that “she brings with her a passion for providing quality orthodontic care that results in treating the whole patient, from the inside out.” When Pat reflects on her favorite thing about her job, she says: “I like a family atmosphere. We treat our patients like family as well as each other. We also love to have fun! My motto: To provide a great service for our patients and have fun doing it! What more could you ask?”

Personal Information
Pat is a native of Ashe County, NC, (as is Dr. Severt; small world!). Pat has lived in Orange and Chatham Counties since 1967. Pat and her husband Tom have 4 grown children and 4 grandchildren (Kerri, Dylan, Haley, and Kadie).

In her spare time, Pat enjoys camping, hiking, traveling across the U.S., basket weaving, watching her grandchildren play sports, and watching beautiful sunrises and sunsets in the North Carolina mountains.



Name: Jennifer Fearrington
Title: Scheduling Coordinator

Jennifer is one of the smiling faces who will greet you upon your arrival. She will also help you schedule that next appointment. Additionally, she is available to answer telephone calls regarding appointments, treatment, emergencies, etc. She joined Dr. Severt in May 2000.

Jennifer’s favorite thing about orthodontics is the final result—a great smile! Her favorite thing about working with Dr. Severt is that “she is very easy-going, caring, and understanding. She is a great employer!” Jennifer’s favorite thing about her job is “seeing how excited the patients and parents are when we take the braces off and they see their great smile! I enjoy being able to interact with parents and build relationships.”

Personal Information
Jennifer is a native of Graham , NC . She and her husband, Kenny, have two daughters, Hayley and Kenley, and a son, Kendel. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family, being active in church, shopping, and watching Hayley play softball.



Name: Shea Ray
Title: Scheduling Coordinator

Shea is one of the friendly faces who will greet you upon your arrival. She will also help you schedule your appointments. Additionally, she is available to help answer questions on the phone regarding appointments, accounts, etc.

Shea has worked in the field of orthodontics since joing our team in 2002, but had lots of experience prior to joining Dr. Severt. She says: “I have been in the dental field since 1986. I worked in general dentistry for 17 years. I then decided I wanted to pursue the field of orthodontics. I’m so glad that I found Dr. Severt’s office. I enjoy coming to work each day. She makes things so much fun along with the rest of the staff.”

Shea’s favorite thing about the practice of orthodontics is “changing the way a person feels about their smile. Shea loves that Dr. Severt is so easy going, great with patients, and very understanding. She makes me laugh.” Her favorite things about her job are that she “enjoys talking with patients and parents and striving to accommodate their scheduling needs. I love working at the front desk helping to make patients feel comfortable. I enjoy working with Pat and Jennifer.” She also enjoys helping out in the clinical area when we need her.

Personal Information
Shea is a native of Burlington, NC and has lived in Mebane since 1989. She and her husband, Todd, have a daughter, Morgan. In her spare time, Shea enjoys reading, shopping, singing karaoke, dancing, and spending time with her husband and daughter.



Name: Betty Harder
Title: Clinical Assistant

Betty is responsible for making your clinical visits run smoothly and for training new clinical staff. She has been in orthodontics since 1984 and with Dr. Severt since 1999.

Her favorite thing about orthodontics is “seeing people’s lovely smiles!!” Her favorite thing about working with Dr. Severt is that she is kind and gentle to patients. Betty’s favorite thing about her job is helping people improve their dental health.

Personal Information
Betty is a native of Hillsborough, NC and has lived in Efland since 1986. Betty and her husband, Russell, have two children, Rusty and Maggie. In her spare time, Betty enjoys cooking, reading, and gardening.



Name: Jennifer Roberts
Title: Clinical Assistant

Jennifer re-joined our team in 2008. She worked in the practice from 1994 through 2004, then became a stay-at-home mom after the birth of her second daughter. We are happy to have her back.

Personal Information
Jennifer and her husband, Keith, have been married since 2000 and live in Caswell County. Their daughters are Samantha and Lexie.



Name: Michelle Tudor
Title: Treatment Coordinator

Michelle is responsible for welcoming new patients to the office and coordinating everything necessary to get started with braces. She assists Dr. Severt during all the initial examinations and takes the photos, x-rays, and molds necessary to begin treatment. Michelle is also trained as a clinical assistant, so is well-versed in all procedures.

She has worked in the field of orthodontics since 1990 and has been with Dr. Severt since January 2006. Her favorite thing about the practice of orthodontics is “Patients! I love seeing their enthusiasm when they see a change in their appearance and actively participating in their treatment.” Michelle’s favorite thing about working with Dr. Severt is “Her sense of humor!! Also, the fact that I learn something new from her everyday. She is a wonderful role model.” Her favorite thing about her job is working with people. She says “I enjoy seeing their transformations!”

Personal Information
Michelle is a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana and has lived in North Carolina since 1997. She and her son, Zachary, live in Mebane. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys dancing, reading, spirituality, and spending time with her family and her dogs.



Name: Amanda Marioles
Title: Clinical Assistant

Amanda joined our team in July 2008. She loves being an Orthodontic Assistant because "its fun and fast paced." She enjoys learning new things about orthodontics everyday.

Personal Information
She has been married to her husband, Chris, who is a Chatham County police officer, since 2006. Amanda and Chris recently moved into a new home in Snow Camp and just welcomed a new baby boy. Brayden was born on July 22, 2010. Amanda loves dogs and has a shitzu named Gracie. She loves to shop and travel in her spare time.

Name: Amy Dubisar
Title: Clinical Assistant

Amy joined our team as a clinical assistant in May 2010. She has lots of experience in dentistry, having been a general dental assistant since 2002.
She says: "Dr. Severt and our team makes the environment such a fun place to work and take care of beautiful smiles."

Personal Information
Amy was recently married and has a daughter, Lauren, who is 3 years old. Amy loves animals and has two dogs, Lucky and Roxanne. She loves to shop and spend time with friends and family, especially her daughter.



Name: Maggie Harder
Title: Lab Assitant

Maggie joined our team in April 2010 and is responsible for making sure all retainers and appliances are ready on time.   She will be starting school in August 2010 at Alamance Community College to complete the dental assisting program. She will graduate in July 2011.

Personal Information
Maggie is a native of Efland. She is the daughter of Betty Harder, one of our Clinical Assistants. She loves animals and has two dogs, Maddie and Zoey. Maggie enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and dogs.
