Jennifer F. – Office Manager

I enjoy having the opportunity to help others achieve life-changing treatment. Those finished, radiant smiles can’t be beaten! Dr. Severt and Dr. Jacox are both amazing people and orthodontists and I love coming to work with this wonderful team every day. I enjoy working as part of a strong team, supporting Dr. Severt and Dr. Jacox as they create beautiful smiles. Everyone here is focused on providing excellent customer service; we support and encourage each other as we help our patients achieve amazing smiles!

I have been with Dr. Severt since she first bought the practice in 2000. In fact, I was the first person she hired after purchasing the practice. I handle the day-to-day operations of the practice, allowing Dr. Severt and Dr. Jacox to focus on patient care. By ensuring we’re organized and prepared, I help the day flow smoothly, so patient visits go off without a hitch.

I’m an Alamance County native. My husband Kenny and I have two daughters, Hayley and Kenley, and a son, Kendel. I’m a big family person and enjoy every minute I have with my family. I like watching my kids play sports. I also enjoy date nights with my amazing husband. I love going to church with my family and I am honored and humbled to support my husband as he serves as an Elder of our church. God has richly blessed me with a wonderful family, along with a wonderful job and work-family.

Betty – Clinical Assistant

I am so happy to play a role in making beautiful smiles! It’s remarkable to see each patient change during treatment and finish with incredible confidence in their appearance. We have an amazing practice, with doctors and a team who do everything possible to keep our patients comfortable and smiling during treatment.

I work in the clinic, assisting Dr. Severt and Dr. Jacox with orthodontic procedures, including placing braces, archwires, retainers, and Invisalign®.

Russell, my husband, and I have been married for more than 35 years. We have 4 beautiful grandchildren! Our son, Rusty, and his wife Emily have two sons, Charlie and Henry. Our daughter Maggie has two children as well: daughter MiaGrace and son McCray. Outside of work, I like reading, cooking, walking, and – best of all – spending time with my family.

Jennifer R. – Clinical Assistant

I attended Alamance County Community College and graduated with a degree in dental assisting in 1991. I worked in an orthodontic/pediatric office prior to joining Dr. Severt’s team in 1997. Working here for the past 20+ years has been a true pleasure. I’ve enjoyed getting to know all of our patients and being a part of improving their smiles, and I feel fortunate to work with such an amazing team.

I spend my days working with patients, helping Dr. Severt bond braces, doing monthly archwire changes, and delivering appliances.

I have been married to my husband Keith for 18 years this March. We have two beautiful girls, Samantha and Lexie. We are very involved with school athletic activities, as well as high school chorus, and traveling with Lexie’s travel softball team. I personally enjoy reading in my spare time.

Vicki – Clinical Coordinator

I enjoy meeting new people and building a relationship with them. It’s a good feeling to be part of someone’s smile story. I’m the proud owner of a Severt Smile, myself, and I’m excited to help others achieve the same!

Dr. Severt is honest, genuine, and positive; she and my coworkers make this the most supportive, happy office!

I assist Dr. Severt and Dr. Jacox chair side with bonding brackets and archwire changes.  I also keep up with the various labs we work with and help create the fun contests for the office. One of my favorite things to do is use the scanner that takes digital pictures of teeth.  

My husband Daniel, who’s a firefighter, and I have two children; Alayna and Aaron. We love to go to museums and take our two Boston Terriers for walks.

Savannah – Treatment Coordinator

I am responsible for welcoming new patients to the office and coordinating everything necessary to get patients started with orthodontic treatment. I assist Dr. Severt and Dr. Jacox during all initial examinations. I began my orthodontic career here at Dr. Severt’s office right after I graduated from the dental assisting program at ACC in 2019.

Dr. Severt and Dr. Jacox are the best. They are so sweet and always take time to help you learn and better understand things. My favorite thing about my job and orthodontics is that I get to help create those beautiful smiles and work with so many sweet patients from start to finish.

I am a native of Saxapahaw and currently live in Mebane. I have two fur babies named Maddox and Louis. Maddox is a yellow lab and Louis is a mini dachshund.

Jackie – Orthodontic Assistant

I assist Dr. Severt and Dr. Jacox at the chairside and take care of all our wonderful patients. I have worked in the field of orthodontics since 2002. I began my orthodontic journey with Dr. Severt in May 2020. 

Dr. Severt is one of the most caring, detail orientated orthodontists I have ever worked for. Not only does she love what she does, but she also loves her patients and her staff. My favorite thing about my job is I love seeing the confidence that a beautiful smile brings patients and being a part of that gift that changes lives.

I am a native of Saxapahaw and just recently moved back to Saxapahaw from Charlotte. I was a former Carolina Panther Cheerleader. I have two precious sons Tucker and Brennan, and a bulldog named Whiskey. When I am not at work I enjoy cooking, yoga, listening to music, baking, watching Carolina Panther football, and UNC basketball.

Brooke – Clinical Assistant

I am a clinical assistant and help Dr. Severt and Dr. Jacox chairside with your appointments. I keep all the instruments clean, clean and sanitize chairs, conduct health screenings before seating the patient, and help out wherever I am needed in the office. I graduated from Alamance Community College Dental Assisting Program in 2020 and began my orthodontic career with Dr. Severt right after graduating. 

My favorite thing about orthodontics is that it is a friendly environment and fast-paced. Dr. Severt is kind, cares about each patient, and is very helpful to anyone in need. My favorite thing about my job is the people I work with. We have an amazing team and everyone is willing to help each other with whatever is needed. 

I am a native of Hillsborough, NC. I currently live in Mebane. I have a dog named Cleo. In my spare time, I enjoy shopping and spending time with my family.

Maggie – Financial Coordinator

I manage the business financial aspects of the office including accounts payable and receivable.

My favorite thing about orthodontics is transforming people’s smiles. I enjoy connecting with the patients and making sure they have the best experience possible. Dr. Severt is such a kind and caring person, I am blessed to work for her. I graduated from the ACC dental assisting program in 2019 and started working for Dr. Severt in 2020. This is my first job in the dental field, and I couldn’t have picked a better office!

I live in Burlington. I have a cat named Gary Frick, who you may see on the Severt Smiles Instagram from time to time. In my spare time, I love to spend time with my family, friends, and church family. I also love to travel every time I get the chance.

Lauren – Administrative Assistant

I am one of the smiling faces you will see upon entering our office. I answer the phone, schedule appointments, and handle many other administrative duties. I began my orthodontic career with Dr. Severt in 2021.

Dr. Severt is the sweetest and she takes care of her staff and patients. My favorite thing about orthodontics is watching people’s confidence grow. My favorite thing about my job is my work family.

I live in Graham. In my spare time, I love to spend time with my friends and family.

Kaitlyn – Scheduling Coordinator

I am also one of the smiling faces you will see upon entering our office. I greet patients, answer the phones, schedule appointments as well as many other tasks in the office. I began my orthodontic career with Dr. Severt in 2022 after graduating from the ACC dental assisting program. I am excited to learn more about the specialty.

Dr. Severt cares about all of our patients. She is knowledgeable in the field of orthodontics which allows her to deliver the best care to our patients. My favorite thing about orthodontics is seeing how excited patients are when they complete orthodontic treatment and see their new smile.

I live in Burlington. In my spare time, I enjoy my part time job as a competitive cheer coach. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends at the beach and the lake.
